The bees have left the building and the team of Emily and Dan did brilliantly and we think went over and above. They kept us so well informed every step of the way and we learnt a lot about bee keeping too.
Thanks to Laura and Branden for answering my silly questions as I was a bit apprehensive. Also to the scaffolding people who really amazed us !
Much overdue but good that the bees have been re homed to a great new hive in Portsmouth 🐝🐝🐝

Today the bees we’ve had for 2.5 years in our chimney bee gone thanks to Dan P and Emily. When we first noticed them arrive in June 2022 we thought that they wouldn’t stay for long ! However they did stay and created a large colony. We knew we had them because in warm weather when they were most active the dying ones would fall down the chimney and crawl across the carpet to the Window and sadly die. We decided that we needed them removed but wanted them to be rehomed. The insurance company or the council would not deal with bee removal so we contacted Bee Gone. A brilliant service from initial enquiry to the bees being removed successfully and rehomed 150 miles away.
We were offered different options for the removal so we chose the middle option.
Scaffolding was erected and Dan P and Emily arrived to remove the bees from the chimney stack and pot. The pot has to be removed to get to the bees . Keeping the bees alive was of great importance . They were handled with care and consideration and respect ( as were we ) Our chimney pot was saved and reinstated and then sealed snd bee proofed. Everything was explained to us clearly each step of the way . Both Emily and Dan are passionate bee keepers and experts in the field of bees . We knew the bees were in safe hands . The job went smoothly. All mess was cleared up and plastic sheeting was laid when the gas fire had to be disconnected to get to honeycomb that had fallen down the chimney. The honeycomb was a sight to behold glistening amber liquid gold. This was saved too to feed the bees over the winter months .
Don’t hesitate to contact Bee Gone if you have a bees nest. They don’t fly off and a nest grows by a metre a year !!
We learned a lot about bees from Emily and Dan . Bees need to be protected and saved . The planet needs these honey bees. Don’t exterminate, save them and get them rehomed . Bee Gone will do a brilliant job from start to finish. Thank you Dan P and Emily you’re stars 🌟

Mum (in her late 70's, hard of hearing, mobility issues) contacted Beegone to remove a colony of honeybees from the chimney which had been there about 2yrs, causing mum endless worry and sleepless nights. Honey had come down indoors and mum had been let down on numerous occasions by other contractors, some cited difficult access and others just didn't bother to get back to her.
The call to Caroline at Beegone helped put mum at ease and she felt like the company genuinely cared about her situation. A survey was booked for the following week and Branden arrived at the appointed time. He explained what would be required in a way that mum understood, and nothing was rushed.
When the day came for the job to start Ben and Emily arrived on time and explained what they were going to do. They were both lovely people and they kept us updated throughout the job, showed us photos and treated us both with respect and kindness. They both did a fantastic job in challenging circumstances.
We are both very grateful to everyone at Beegone for organising the whole thing, for getting the bees out of the chimney and rehoming them and for giving mum back her sleep!
Also, a massive shout out to Lee the scaffolder, who put the whole lot up by himself in a gap that was only about 80cm wide, and half that width at gutter level.

We had a problem with honeybees in a flat roof on the house and contacted Beegone. The scaffolding arrived last week and yesterday Ben and Emily arrived to begin the process of removing the bees. They were both extremely polite, cheerful and obviously well skilled in their work. Throughout the day they kept us fully informed of how the work was progressing, bringing us photos of the bees and the honeycomb and explaining all the stages of the work. Emily was delighted with both the number of bees they would be able to rehome and the ease of removing the comb in such a way that would make it easy for them to place it in a new hive in the future. We were just as delighted that we would be finally able to say goodbye to the bees!
As well as showing us photos of the bees, Ben was able to show us the work that he had undertaken on the side of the roof and fascia board in order to access the bees. He explained in detail the repair work he would do to make it bee proof for the future.
This morning they arrived promptly and completed the work. Throughout they were both very professional in their manner and instilled confidence in us that the work undertaken would prevent the bees from returning.
